Our style is modern, fresh, and stylish. When you are viewing your session slide show, we want you to stare in awe at your children- astonished by how beautiful they are as if you are seeing them for the first time again. We have mastered the craft of working solely with natural light and will use what nature offers us no matter where we are working. We are not a traditional posed photography studio however we do not consider ourselves to be solely photojournalistic either. We are somewhere in between the two- striving for eye contact from your children and yet capturing the natural moments as they come. We give your children and family simple poses and then start shooting from there- taking whatever moments and memories come at us.
While we have our own specific style, we love to hear your ideas and step out of our usual session flow to make the most of your session. Please be detailed to us about what ideas you have in mind before the session so we can prepare.

At your session, whether it be at our studio, at a location of your choice, or at your home, I will arrive and immediately introduce myself to your children. I have six years of experience in early childhood education and you’ll find that for whatever reason, children gravitate towards me. Please don’t be alarmed if I move your furniture or open all of your blinds. The key to a beautiful portrait is the right light and so I do whatever it takes to find that. While some of the things that I ask you to do during a family session might seem quite silly and a little odd, I ask that you go with me on them. The more relaxed you are, the more relaxed your children are, and it shows in the photographs. My sessions go as long as they need to go. While the average session is 1-2 hours, I will not leave the session until I am confident I captured everything I wanted to for you.
You will receive a slide show if your images 7 days after your session. Our studio goes through the photos from your shoot and eliminates all the blinking photos and awkward expressions before digitally processing each photo individually resulting in a slide show of 30 unique photographs. Each of these 30 photographs from your session is shown in both color and black and white. While sometimes we have a preference, we understand that as the parent who is putting the photos together in your home, the color treatment should be your decision. We’re always happy to lend an opinion if you’re on the fence.
All of our ordering is done online unless you are overwhelmed and struggling with making a decision- in which we welcome you to make an ordering appointment at the studio. We want to make the whole process simple and easy for you so please do not hesitate to come to us during your ordering process if there is anything we can do to help you along with the process.
